North AMERICAN FINALS

Summary

North American Regionals (Regionals) is the major qualifying event for North American Finals (NAFs). 2023 Regionals is scheduled for 20 March to 2 April 2023. Teams competing in Regionals will have the opportunity to qualify for NAFs that are being held in Orlando, FL at Full Sail University on 23-25 June.

Requirements for registering teams and players for Regionals:

Player(s) must be registered players in XP League either competing in the current split (Spring Split) or on a monthly subscription with an XP League location (in competitive split play, club play, etc.).
Player(s) must meet the XP League age requirements as defined in the General Rules. Specifically, "Age – lower age limit is at the discretion of the league location and with permission from the parent/guardian of the player. However, it is recommended for league play that players be at least 8 years old. The upper age limit starting Summer 2022 is 17 years of age." To further clarify the NAFs age requirement: If a player was 17 yeas of age anytime after 2022 NAFs and/or before 2023 NAFs, they are eligible to play on an XP League team, are eligible for Regional, and are eligible for NAFs.

IF YOU QUALIFY FOR FINALS, YOU WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL TO ORLANDO TO COMPETE IN THE NAF EVENT. FAMILIES WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS OF TRAVEL, FOOD AND LODGING.

The regional tournaments will be held locally in Lone Tree, Colorado. In person participation is recommended, but remote play is possible, if needed.

There is no additional league costs to compete in regionals or NAFs.

Regional tournament teams do not have to be formed from current teams. Any players can register and can choose their own team or will be assigned to a team as space is available. Players are allowed to compete in multiple games, but not on multiple teams within the same game.

There will be no Silver, Gold or Platinum divisions in competition. All teams will compete for placement with the best placing teams advancing to finals.

NAFs HOTEL INFORMATION

There are three hotels to choose from and all three hotels are close to Full Sail University and easily accessible by ride-share companies, taxies, and easy to navigate from for families with cars. The university is not within walking distance so ride-share, taxi or a rental car will probably be necessary. Please note, the Residence Inn just had a major renovation and is expected to be a very nice hotel.
